Ground Pound Dive

Ground pound your way to the center of the planet in this 2D action arcade game made in 1 week for the Brackeys 2023.2 Game Jam! The theme for the jam was “Diving Deeper”. This game is heavily inspired by Downwell made by Ojiro Fumoto.

In “Ground Pound Dive”, you control the acrobatic “Boot Boy”: a small little dude with the ability to ground pound mid-air to quickly fall downwards, damaging all enemies beneath him! Use this ability to squash enemies, smash crystals, and reach the center of the Planet!

How to Play:

• Run and Jump to avoid enemies!
• Ground pound Blue enemies to squish them!
• Ground pound Blue crystals to smash through them!
• Try Moving left to right while ground pounding to aim yourself better!
• Don't touch Red enemies! They will hurt you even if you ground pound them!
• Try to make it to the center of the planet!

Controls:

• Move left -> A key or left arrow key
• Move right -> D key or right arrow key
• Jump -> W key or up arrow key
• Ground Pound -> S key or down arrow key or spacebar (while in air)
